   Ananuri, The fortress complex is located 66 km away from Tbilisi on the shores of the Zhinvali Reservoir, which, by the way, is quite remarkable in its turquoise waters. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles. The fortress includes a pair of churches and an 11th-century defensive tower inside.
   Gudauri – The ski resort is located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, along the Georgian Military Highway near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters, above sea level with a skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun. The resort offers high quality skiing opportunities that lasts from December to April.
   Stepantsminda (formerly Kazbegi) is a townlet in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of north-eastern Georgia. Historically and ethnographically, the town is part of the Khevi province. It is the center of the Kazbegi Municipality. According to tradition, Stepantsminda, literally “Saint Stephan”, was named after a Georgian Orthodox monk Stephan, who constructed a hermitage at this location on what later became the Georgian Military Highway. The town is located along the banks of the Terek River, 157 kilometers (98 mi) to the north of Tbilisi at an elevation of 1,740 meters (5,710 feet) above sea level.
   Stepantsiminda is known for its scenic location in the Greater Caucasus mountains, and is a center for trekkers and mountain climbing. Local attractions include the Ethnographic Museum in town, and the Gergeti Trinity Church outside of town, the alpine meadows and forests of the surrounding Kazbegi Nature Reserve. The town is dominated by large mountains on all sides. The most notable mountain of the region, Mount Kazbek (or Mkinvartsveri), lies immediately to the west of town. It is the third highest mountain in Georgia (5047 m) and is surrounded by myths and religious tradition. Prometheus was chained to a mountainside for all eternity as punishment for teaching mankind how to make fire.
Gergeti Trinity Church, located 2170 meters above sea level in Kazbegi village. There you can enjoy picturesque views all around you. In case weather permits, you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest picks in Georgia – Mkinvartsveri
   Darilai Gorge, there is Georgian border crossing point “Larsi” to the Russian Federation and the Monastery.
