This 2-day tour takes in the highlights of the most visited region of Georgia. It is a true combination of castles, health resorts, medieval cave cities and colorful villages providing the traveler with unrivalled opportunities to enjoy picture-postcard Georgia.
Our first stop is the world famous health resort Borjomi, noted for its mineral water and one of the largest national parks in Georgia. If you have a little more time, we can plan a one or two day hike from Borjomi to discover some of Georgia’s rugged scenery. We are sure the stunning views will take your breath away at every turn as we meander along The Panorama Trail. You can check out another hiking possibilities by clicking here. On our way to the south-west we will visit a 9th-century christian monastery hidden deep into the woods that is why we call as a ,,Green Monastery”.
We continue our drive to the south-west where we shall enjoy a tour of Rabati Castle in a small town Akhaltsikhe. Rabati is considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in Georgia. It was built in the 12th century previously known as Lomisa Castle and has deep influence of different cultures and religions, which is well reflected in its architecture. Among other interesting buildings, there is a museum that houses a significant part of the region’s historic, cultural, archaeological, numismatic and ethnographic heritage.
Inasmuch as we choose Akhaltsikhe as our overnight stay, in the evening we can visit one of the nearby places: Saphara Monastery, with the fantastic lunar landscapes and commanding views over the town or Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory, that offers the perfect opportunity to gaze at the stars (subject to weather conditions).
Next day we are heading to the south-east along the bewitching Kura River canyon, where the main highlights are Khertvisi Fortress and Vardzia Cave City. Khertvisi is one of the oldest fortresses in Georgia, dating back to the 2nd century BC. Our last destination is Vardzia, a remarkable cave city with over eight hundred years of history. Both sites are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. After making a short photo stop at the majestic Tmogvi Castle we return back with memories that will truly last a lifetime as these past 2 days have been an inspiring insight to the beauty that is Georgia. We make sure you get the best value for your money on your two day tour.

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
